Live X
99X Atlanta, Georgia
Purple Dragon Recording Studio
April 14, 1996
There was no interview, this was a live performance for a small studio audience.
Tori: Hi guys. [Is the sound level] good in there? Yeah.
Tori improvises a song:
Yes
It's freezing cold in the studio
I wish it could get warm soon
freezing cold in the studio
wish I had my mittens on
I thought about this girl I know
she's kind of, well, inseparable
to this guy I thought that would
be my unforgettable, yes
It's kinda cold in the studio
and it makes me think of a big meatball
and maybe I'll get fat like it
and maybe it will be my friend
Tori: [laughs] I have no idea. Okay... So, I hope you can hear. Like, I'm hearing something different than you, obviously, but I'll try and project so you can hear what's going on up here. That's why I'm taking one ear [headphone] off.
Tori performs Doughnut Song
Tori starts playing an upbeat melody, then stops.
Tori: I thought somebody was unwrapping peanut butter and jelly. You know, when you hear that wrapper, it's so good. You just go, "Oh, recess." It's like, lunchtime.
Tori performs the first half of Past the Mission. In the second chorus she sings, "past the mission, I smell the roses," then goes right into Blood Roses. She performs all of Blood Roses.
Tori: This is a cover that I used to do sometimes. Um, it just seems to want to come.
Tori performs Landslide, by Stevie Nicks
Tori performs Mr Zebra
