TORI SHAKES UP RETAIL; EURO SHOWS WIN PRESS RAVES; U.S. TOUR SET

Atlantic recording artist Tori Amos has hit the #1 spot on Billboard's "Heatseekers" album chart, reflecting exploding sales nationwide for her debut solo album, "LITTLE EARTHQUAKES." The first single, "Silent All These Years," is a top five requested track at Alternative radio, and is now garnering considerable CHR airplay as well. The song's companion video is in Stress-Buzz Clip rotation on MTV, and the channel recently aired a one-hour prime time Tori Amos special.

Meanwhile, Tori has just completed a European tour which drew press raves. "She's singing with fearsome precision and intensity, while nonchalantly trilling out complex piano lines that made the musos around be gasp and utter in awe. It's a cultured, polished performance," enthused Melody Maker. "Her actual playing is extraordinary, baroque with a dash of ragtime. Her voice is always powerful, and she uses it with great skill," noted The Independent.

Coinciding with the success of "LITTLE EARTHQUAKES," Amos has confirmed plans for her debut North American solo tour. Commencing on April 20th in New York City, the headlining, cross-country itinerary is slated to run through mid-May. In addition, she is set to appear on television's "Late Night with David Letterman" on April 23rd and "The Dennis Miller Show" on May 12th. As thus far announced, Tori's tour dates are as follows:
