TORI AMOS GOES OVER PLATINUM WITH "UNDER THE PINK"

"UNDER THE PINK," the second solo album by Atlantic recording artist Tori Amos, has been certified platinum by the RIAA for U.S. sales in excess of one million units. Produced by Eric Rosse and Ms. Amos, and penned in its entirety by the artist, "UNDER THE PINK" entered the national pop album chart at #12 upon its release in January. The album was a #1 smash on both the college and AAA radio listings, and was a top 10 hit at album radio.

"God," the first single from "UNDER THE PINK," was a #1 hit at alternative stations nationwide. "Cornflake Girl," the second single from the album, was a top 15 hit on the nation's alternative airwaves. "LITTLE EARTHQUAKES," Ms. Amos's '92 debut solo album, was certified RIAA gold, while selling over 1.5 million copies worldwide.

Ms. Amos is currently in the midst of a marathon, headlining world tour, including dates in Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. She recently recorded a song with R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, which is slated to appear on Atlantic's original motion picture soundtrack for the upcoming feature film Don Juan DeMarco.
