Tori's Maze: my new Tori fan site coming soon

Premiere on October 1st (it will be earlier if I can, but I seriously doubt about it since everything won't be complete)! Maybe I'll put the gallery online sometime around next week but I'm not sure about that. I guess it's more probable I put the whole site and its 16 sections online at the same time.

Looks interesting! Love the logo..it reminds me of LOST's dharma initiative logo..sure you will find an interp in there..lol

It has some parts in Flash but most of the pages featuring articles and written contents are not. I chose SPIP to manage the content: it's kind of like Wordpress and you can modify the code anyway you want so you can design a great-looking site if you know how to do it and you can also insert some Flash elements inside a page. My boyfriend being the graphic designer, he thought it was a good option cause it allows to create hundreds of pages pretty simply if you need to (and I have over 1300 pages for the moment, including the French translations) so I can add my articles, etc. and not worry about the coding, etc. because it is managed separately, so it's pretty handy.

The parts in Flash are basically the three different doorways of the Maze: the EWF camp, the Library and the Toriland. They'll allow you to explore a different universe and to access to different contents depending on where you click. It won't be complete when the site opens, unfortunately: so far, we've created 4 out of 30 sceneries for the Toriland (Choirgirl map) and my boyfriend has so much work to do for the design of the main site, navigating system and such that I don't think we'll have time to add a 5th layout for the map before October. You'll have access to the Toriland in Flash and the 4 locations we conceived so far, and basically, we'll add a few new sceneries each month until it's complete.

As for the Library, we'll try to open access to it for early November: because of his professional duties, Jeremy (my bf) won't be able to do it in time for the site's opening. The EWF camp should be complete and working and, overall, you'll have access to all the different content sections of the site. Because, as I explained before, the Flash areas of the Maze are not sections in themselves but entrances to the site and there'll be icons and a complete menu that will allow you to choose where you want to go if you're looking for something specific. There'll be a lot of contents from the beginning but the main difference will be the navigation system through the maze, that won't be complete as long as we don't have the Library and all the different locations of the map. So it will be a "beta version" but kind of a really big beta version.

I don't know if that's pretty clear the way I explain it since you can't have an overall look on the thing for the moment, but I really hope you'll like it and we're making our best to give you an interesting, funny but still practical and easy to use site. Thank you for your encouragements, it really keeps us going to know you enjoy what we've shown you so far.

I love the homepage. Looks very neat and I can't wait to go snooping around in it. I'm hoping for some fan remixes. I have a slight obsession with hunting them down. Hope it's up and running soon.

Thanks! The site will be up on October 1st. I don't plan to have fan remixes for the moment, however. Maybe I'll change my mind later, but for the moment, I still have a lot of other things to do for the site and its many different sections. There'll be a download section, though, and it should be running as soon as the site is online if I can get Jeremy (graphic designer and bf) to make a layout for it in the last 10 days we have before the launching.

It's a BETA version, so everything is far from being ready — and some little sections are missing so they'll pop up in the following weeks —, but there are already a lot of things, plus there'll be lots of updates so it will evolve and expand week after week. Hope you like it !

And now, I'm so excited about the Paris show! I just checked the Moscow setlist and one more time, it was amazing! I really hope she'll play "Pandora's Aquarium"...
