October 18, 2007 - Bouncing Off Clouds

Hey there. I'm Tori Amos. Welcome to my QuickTime tour countdown. I was asked to talk about "BOUNCING OFF CLOUDS";and the thing about this song is, I was having the worse month, not just day, but week after week [laugh]. And this song, reached its hand out to me, and started to say 'You make this easy. Will you make this easy, you silly person?' And I started to think, 'God I'm making everything so complicated. Why does it have to be so complicated?' And so, this song kind of, well, definitely changed my life a little bit."

October 18, 2007 - Big Wheel

"Hey there. I'm Tori Amos. Welcome to my QuickTime tour countdown. I'm talking about the song "BIG WHEEL." In "Big Wheel", there is a line 'I'm a M.I.L.F., dont you forget.' My niece, Kelsey Dobbins, wherever you are, uh, kind of said to me. She picked out this bikini for me to wear. And I said 'Ya-no.' And she said, 'Yeah. You have to do this. Uncle Mark's coming and you've got to be hot.' And I said, 'Yeah, but you know I'm feeling hot enough in my, you know, my long sleeves.' She said, 'You're wrong.' So, she said, 'You're a MILF and this is what you have to do. [finger snap] Pay it." And, I started to think, if women, who are moms, are able to get up in the morning, feel sexy about themselves, look in the mirror, turn on the husband, or the man, or the woman, whatever it is, and say 'Yeah. I'm a MILF. And then I can get the kids off to school.' That's hot."

October 22, 2007 - Digital Ghost

"Hey there. I'm Tori Amos. Welcome to my QuickTime tour. And we're talking about the song "DIGITAL GHOST" today. I think the idea of being a ghost through the digital world quite fascinates me, the way that you can send messages to people and the way that you can receive messages, how they can just come inside your very intimate world. You're sitting there, alone with this, I don't know, this technical machine and all of a sudden, you're having relationships with people that nobody knows you're having these relationships with. And I find this, I don't know, there's something dangerous about it, but also, um, limitless. Playing this live has become an incredible challenge, because we want you to feel like the keys wrap around you.

October 23, 2007 - Almost Rosey

"Hi there. I'm Tori Amos. Welcome to my QuickTime tour. And today, we're talking about a little song called "ALMOST ROSEY." I guess I'm one of those people that writes a song, well, pretty much about almost everything. When I'm in the shower, not that you need to know about that, sorry! Um, when the food isn't so good, I can write about it. But this particular song, I was coming out of this, um, place. And you know when somebody says to you, "Have a nice day" and you know that what they're really saying to you is "Stick it up your [noise]."? And so, I started thinking about this. And then, one thing led to another. It started to rain. I got wet. I, um, got into it with---. You know when you start arguing with everybody and you don't even know why and you turn around and you start saying things to people and then you start realize, "Maybe I go better write a song now." So that's what I did."

October 24, 2007 - Yo George

"Hi there. I'm Tori Amos and you're watching my QuickTime tour. I'd like to talk to you about a little song called "YO GEORGE". Which is on my new record "American Doll Posse". And really No! I'm not writing a song to get the attention of George Bush. I don't think it really matters if you get someone like that, their attention, because they are going to see what they want to see. I wrote it to get your attention. Because I happen to love this country more than I can say. I find it heartbreaking what people have been doing to us to HER. So Yo George is my song for YOU."
